Zynergy's Role in Transforming Select Information Exchange (SIE) Into a Digital Data Platform

Zynergy partnered with Select Information Exchange (SIE), a premier data mining and reporting company for the financial services industry, to better modernize and transform its data delivery system. Since 1966, SIE has been a trusted supplier of proprietary data to some of the world’s largest financial institutions, including JP Morgan and American Express. With a legacy system that was only internally available to employees, SIE needed to transition to a more dynamic, external-facing platform that would allow clients to access valuable data directly and in real-time.


Zynergy was tasked with designing and developing this next-generation digital platform. Our goal was to create a secure, subscription-based system that allowed SIE’s clients to query, run reports, and download data themselves, vastly improving efficiency and customer experience. By transitioning from a manual report-generation process to an automated, self-service platform, SIE was able to enhance profitability and streamline operations. No longer would clients need to wait for employees to manually run and send reports; instead, they could quickly generate the insights they needed to make critical HR and business decisions.


Given the proprietary nature of the data, security was a top priority for Zynergy. We implemented strong security protocols, ensuring that data access was limited to licensed users per account, protecting sensitive information. The platform was built to query and retrieve large amounts of data quickly, ensuring that users could access the information they needed without delay. This required the development of a powerful database management system capable of handling high volumes of data while delivering fast, accurate results to clients in real-time.


In addition to speed and security, usability was a key factor in the platform’s design. Zynergy focused on making the system intuitive and user-friendly, despite the complex nature of the data and analytics it offered. Clients needed to be able to apply multiple filters, run customized reports, and download data with ease. Our team worked closely with SIE to ensure the platform met the diverse needs of its clients, providing a seamless experience even for those unfamiliar with data-heavy tools. The result was a powerful, yet easy-to-navigate, platform that gave financial institutions the ability to extract and analyze the exact data they needed.


The project was executed across multiple locations, with key development happening in both New York City and Orlando, Florida. Throughout the process, Zynergy worked in close collaboration with SIE’s internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from the legacy system to the new digital platform. By modernizing their data delivery system, SIE was able to unlock new revenue streams through its subscription model while simultaneously improving the client experience with faster, more efficient data access.
